Google Classroom – Year 11 revision
Welcome to our year 11 revision and google classroom LUTC webpage.
Students at Lincoln UTC are conscientious and motivated to achieve well. They interact with google classroom in all curriculum subjects, and are guided by their specialist teachers on what to do, and when, throughout the year. They can quickly navigate to areas of this resource to assist them in understanding key concepts. Students will often do this from their mobile device as well as on laptops provided in each department.
As we move towards the summer examinations, we will use this section of our website as a one-stop-shop for the links to all subject classrooms, as well as a very specific ‘Year 11 Revision’ area where teachers post resources that support current lesson content. Although your child will already be using google classroom, we understand parents/carers might not be familiar with how it works, or how to access the virtual classroom. Below is a user guide that help you access the online classrooms and see what your child can see.

In a bid to support all our students as they approach their summer examinations, you will receive an invite to receive ‘guardian emails’ from our online learning platform, Google Classroom.
Through this ‘guardian email’ feature, you will receive daily or weekly email summaries - you can select which one you would prefer.
This summary will outline your son/ daughter’s:
- Missing work—Work not submitted at the time of email being sent.
- Upcoming work—Work that is due today and tomorrow (for daily emails) or that is due in the upcoming week (for weekly emails).
- Class activity—Announcements, assignments, and questions recently posted by teachers.
Parents and Guardians who sign up for email summaries will not see the Stream, Classwork, People, or Grade pages in GC, so you won’t be bombarded with information! You will not receive an email summary if there is no activity to report for that day/ week. Parents / guardians can choose to get emails daily or weekly and can unsubscribe at any time.
