Year 10 UTC student, Michael Velykorodnyy, is engaged in a video game mission to recreate the entirety of Lincolnshire and the rest of the UK as a virtual world for people to explore using Minecraft.

Michael is part of an account called Build The Earth - UK, which consists of 30 builders constructing their home towns and cities and has more than 62,000 followers on TikTok. It is an off-branch of a global effort to build the entire world on Minecraft. Lincoln Cathedral, Steep Hill and St James Church in Louth are among the county's landmarks which have been built so far. A video posted on TikTok showing builders' efforts of making Lincolnshire has been viewed more than 774,600 times.

Michael said: "We take Google Maps co-ordinates and run them through a programme and then run them through Minecraft.

"Anyone can come and join, it's completely free. I have been building the Humber Bridge, but we have people building cities across the UK. In Lincolnshire, we have done parts of Lincoln, Dunhome, Louth, Grimsby and Scunthorpe."
