“Students receive exceptionally high-quality advice and guidance towards their next steps in education, employment or training.

The majority who apply for courses in higher education secure their first-choice placements.

Students are also very successful in securing prestigious apprenticeships, for example, with the Royal Navy, RBM Agricultural Machinery and Prysmian Fibre Optics” – Ofsted, 2019

Lincoln UTC has a strong track record of supporting students with their next steps and our Post-16 students continue to be very successful in securing their desired place at university or in industry.

In 2021 52% of our students chose to continue to higher education and 100% of those students secured a place at university. Course choices included mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, theoretical physics, physiotherapy, medicinal chemistry, biomedical science, maths, finance, and law.

Students who chose not to follow a higher education route were very successful in securing prestigious apprenticeships, for example, with BAE Systems, the RAF, Anglian Water, Festo, Norfolk Police, Rolls Royce, and the Merchant Navy.
